Commercial Defeasance was founded in 2000 to assist commercial real estate owners with what was then a new and uncharted process called defeasance. We created the very first online defeasance calculator, formed our first successor borrower and were helping borrowers defease loans back when their loan servicers were telling them, “We don’t know what it is. It was never meant to be done.”
